Taiwanese flautist Yi-Hsuan Chen is currently studying for her Bachelor degree at Royal Academy of Music, in the flute class of William Bennett, and piccolo class of Helen Keen. Yi-Hsuan had been studying in Taiwan with Shu-Chun Chiang, and Hue-Jin Liu, before coming to study in London.

Yi-Hsuan has won several prizes in many competitions, including 1st prize in the junior category of 3rd Singapore Flute Festival , open category of 6th Singapore Flute Festival, senior high school woodwind quintet category of 2013 Taiwan National Music Competition. She has also awarded "Very highly commended" at Jonathan Myall Piccolo prize.

Yi-Hsuan was invited to play a solo piece in the "Winner Showcase" concert for the 5th, 6th, and 7th Singapore Flute Festivals. She has been working with the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductors including Edward Gardner, and Oliver Knussen.
