A unique opportunity to study with one of the
worlds leading flute players.
William Bennett (WIBB) has elevated the profile of the flute by improving its pitch, by developing the use of different tone colours, and by endeavouring to make it as musically articulate and dignified as the string instruments or the voice.
William Bennett’s career developed as an international soloist and major recording artist and has received international acclaim and enthusiastic reviews in record and CD journals. Professorships at the Music Hochshule Freiburg and the Royal Academy of Music London and Masterclasses throughout the world have established William Bennett as one of the foremost teachers of the age. Continuing and developing the imaginative teaching of Marcel Moyse and Geoffrey Gilbert, William Bennett brings his own articulate and cogent reasoning together with his consummate artistry and musical integrity to the Master class situation.
In 1995 H.M.The Queen presented William Bennett with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his distinguished service to Music. In 2002 he was awarded the National Flute Association's "Lifetime Achievement Award" and in 2003 he was appointed the British Flute Society's "Flautist Laureate". In 2004 he was awarded the title of " Flute of Gold" from the Italian "Falaut" Flute society. In 2009 he was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Chicago Flute Club.
