Yaoyao Lu is currently studying for her MA at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor William Bennett and Clare Southworth and Piccolo with Patricia Morris from 2015.
Born in China, she completed her BMus at the Central Concervatory of Music in Beijing under professor Yongxin Wang in 2011. The same year she was admitted to the Concservatoire at Rayonnement Regional de Paris to study for the soloist diploma with Vincent Lucas and chamber music under Pascal Le Corre, and in 2014 she graduated with first prize by unanimous vote of the adjudicators. She then changed concervatory to study with Philippe Lesgourgues at the Ecole Normal de Musique de Paris, obtaining her second Soloist Diploma in 2016.
Through out her studies in China, France and UK she won prestigious prizes, such as first prize of Concerto Competition which was accompanied by China Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Hong Kong young Artist Competition.
She is an active Solo and Orchestral performer, and was co principal flutist of China Youth Symphony Orchestra. Since she began her studies in London, she has played in many prestigious venues with RAM Symphony Orchestra.
